Bard Laureate Travel Fund

This position was originally created by Rev. Skip Ellison at the Wellspring festival in 2004. Here is the original announcement about the position:
"The Mother Grove also voted to allow me, as Archdruid, to create honorifics as I see fit. These honorific titles will last for as long as my term as Archdruid or as I see fit if sooner.

At the bardic night on Saturday, I created the first of those honorific titles, the title of ADF Bard Laureate. As Archdruid, I am in the unique
position of being able to travel around the country and into Canada, attending festivals and watching the bards of ADF perform. This title is
given to the person in ADF who, in my opinion, is the best working bard in the organization. The bard that best represents ADF to the community at large through their talent.

On Saturday, I appointed both Ian Corrigan and Sue Parker (Liafal) to that position! Performing together as 'Awen' they travel around the US and Canada and perform at many festivals. At all festivals they attend, they also present workshops about ADF. They continue spreading the word about ADF and Druidry in general during their performances to the general public while performing in the Ohio area."

The Bard Laureate position is now held by Emerald of Sassafras Grove, who was appointed by Rev. Kirk Thomas at the Wellspring festival in 2010.
